The establishment of the Kotak Education Foundation (KEF) on January 14, 2007, marked a significant milestone in its mission to combat urban poverty by focusing on education and livelihood initiatives. KEF operates in economically disadvantaged areas of Mumbai, including the Deonar, Govandi, Chembur, Kurla, and Dharavi slums.
