SSC CHSL Eligibility Criteria 2024

Candidates applying for the recruitment process of SSC CHSL 2024 must ensure that they meet all the eligibility criteria in their entirety. The eligibility criteria include conditions like Educational Qualification, Age limit & Nationality.

SSC CHSL Nationality

An applicant must be an Indian citizen to be eligible for this recruitment process or a citizen of
  • Nepal
  • Bhutan or
  • Indian origin migrated from Sri Lanka, Burma, Pakistan, Vietnam and East African Countries (intending to reside in India)

SSC CHSL Educational Qualification

Candidates must have the below-mentioned minimum Educational Qualification for the valid candidature.

SSC CHSL Age Limit

The SSC CHSL Age Limit is set, as the applicant’s age must fall between 18 years and 27 years. The cut-off date for the age limit is 01 August 2024. Age relaxation for the different categories is mentioned below.

SSC CHSL Selection Process

The SSC CHSL Selection Process has two-tier examinations, both are Computer Based, they are:
  • Tier I (Pre)
  • Tier II (Mains)

SSC CHSL Negative Marking Scheme

To prevent the candidates from wild guessing and biasedness in the exam, there is a negative marking for the SCC CHSL examination for both tiers.

For Tier I: Negative marking of 0.50 marks i.e. one-fourth (2 marks for each right answer) for each answer marked wrong.

For Tier II: 1 mark i.e. one-third (3 marks for each right answer) shall be deducted for each answer marked wrong.
