Indian Navy Sailor AA/ SSR Educational Qualification
AA ARTIFICER APPRENTICE:
Qualified in 10+2 examination and 60% or more marks in Mathematics & Physics and at least one of these subjects:- Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science from the Boards of School Education recognised by Ministry of Education, Govt. of India.
SSR SENIOR SECONDARY RECRUITS (SSR) -
Qualified in 10+2 examination with Maths & Physics and at least one of these subjects: Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science from the Boards of School Education recognized by Ministry of Education, Govt. of India.
Indian Navy Sailor AA/ SSR Age Limit :
Candidates should be born between 01 Aug 2002 to 31 Jul 2005 (Both dates inclusive).

Indian Navy Sailor AA/SSR Salary / Pay Scale :
- During the initial training period, a stipend of Rs. 14,600/- per month will be admissible.
- On successful completion of initial training, they will be placed in Level 3 of the Defence Pay Matrix (₹21,700- ₹69,100). In addition, they will be paid MSP₹ 5200/- per month plus DA (as applicable).
Promotion: Promotion prospects exist up to the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer-I, i.e. Level 8 of the Defense Pay Matrix (Rs.47,600 - 1,51,100/-) plus MSP ₹ 5200/- per month plus DA (as applicable). Opportunities for promotion to commissioned officer also exist for those who perform well and qualify the prescribed examinations and clear Services Selection Boards.
Indian Navy Sailor AA /SSR Selection Process 2022
Shortlisting.
- Shortlisting of candidates would be based on aggregate percentage obtained in Physics, Mathematics and at least one of these subjects- Chemistry/ Biology/ Computer Science in the qualifying examination (10+2). Shortlisting will be carried out state wise in a ratio of four times the number of vacancies.
- The cut off marks may vary from state to state as vacancies have been allocated in a state-wise manner.
- The shortlisted candidates would be issued call-up letter for written examination and PFT.
Note: - In cases where candidates having similar percentage exceed the shortlisting quota for a particular state, the shortlisting would be carried out based on D.O.B., i.e. candidates with earlier DOB (thus having lesser No. of chances) would be given priority

Written Test Indian Navy Sailor AA /SSR Selection Process
(a) One common examination will be conducted for AA and SSR entries.
(b) The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English) and objective type.
(c) The question paper will comprise of four sections i.e. English, Science, Mathematics and
General Awareness.
(d) The standard of the question paper will be that of 10+2 level and the syllabus for the
examination is available on website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.
(e) Duration of examination will be one hour.
(f) All candidates appearing for written examination would be subjected to PFT on the same day.
Physical Fitness Test (PFT) Indian Navy Sailor AA & SSR Recruitment 2022
(a) Qualifying in Physical Fitness Test (PFT) is mandatory for selection.
(b) PFT will consist of 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 20 squats (Uthak Baithak) and 10
Push-ups. Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at their own risk.

Merit lists for AA and SSR will be prepared based on performance in written examination subject to
qualifying Physical Fitness Test (PFT), as follows:-
- (a) AA - Top 600 candidates (approx.) on all India order of merit, who meet the eligibility criteria for AA will be issued call up letter for Enrolment Medical Examination at INS Chilka.
- (b) SSR- Approximately 2500 candidates will be issued call up letter for Enrolment Medical Examination at INS Chilka on the basis of state wise merit.
Note:- The cut off marks for issue of call up letter for Enrollment Medical Examination at INS
Chilka may vary from state to state for SSR entry
How to Apply for Indian Navy Sailor AA/ SSR Recruitment 2022:
- Step 1: Open the official website of the Indian Navy -Click the Official Indian Navy Link.
- Step 2: Before filling up the application form, candidates are advised to keep their 10th and 10+2 mark sheets ready beforehand.
- Step 3: Candidates need to register themselves with their valid mail address and contact number.
- Step 4: Login again with the registered mail address and click on Current Opportunities.
- Step 5: Now click on the “Apply” button and fill in all the important details required like the contact details, address, education, age, gender, choice of examination centre, etc.
- Step 6: After filling up the application form completely, re-check the details mentioned, and then upload all the scanned copies of original documents in the specified spaces. Click on the “Submit” button for the next step.
- Step 7: The candidates will now be directed to the payment page and the candidates will have to pay Rs./- (except SC/ST category candidates) via any online payment mode.
- Step 8: Keep a print of the payment challan and the application form for reference.
